The Libyan Health Minister, Ali Al-Zanati, held talks with his Algerian counterpart, Abderrahmane Benbouzid, to enhance cooperation between the two neighboring countries in the field of pharmaceutical industries.

On Thursday, the Media Office of the Libyan Health Ministry said that the bilateral talks resulted in activating the terms of the agreements concluded between the two countries in the health sector years ago.

The statement added that the two sides have agreed to facilitate holding meetings between oncologists in Libya and Algeria in order to exchange experiences, and hold similar meetings for experts and specialists in the sector of primary health care.

The talks concluded with an agreement to enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of pharmaceutical industries and bone marrow transplants for children, in addition to exchanging medical delegations between the two countries.

On Saturday, Dbaiba commenced his visit to Algeria at the head of a ministerial delegation, and met his counterpart, Abdelaziz Djerad, and participated in the Libyan-Algerian Economic Forum attended by 400 economic actors.
