UNICEF & Red Crescent Sign Cooperation Agreement for Humanitarian Response In Libya

On Tuesday, the Secretary General of the Libyan Red Crescent, and the Special Representative of UNICEF in Libya, signed a cooperation agreement to provide rapid humanitarian assistance to families affected by the conflict and natural disasters.

The Libyan Red Crescent said that the agreement aims to provide a rapid humanitarian response system, to all Libyans affected by natural disasters and armed conflicts.
It added that the agreement was signed online to stress the importance of abiding by global health guidelines to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The Secretary General of the Libyan Red Crescent pointed out that the COVID-19 pandemic has not prevented them from carrying out their duties and providing humanitarian assistance to those in need.
