On Wednesday, Libya’s Supreme Council of Tribes Calls condemned the international community’s inaction over what it describes as Turkish interference in the country’s internal affairs.

In a statement, the Council reiterated its support for the Libyan National Army (LNA) in its fight against armed group and extremists in the capital, Tripoli.

It also called on the African Union, the United Nations and the Arab League to immediately intervene to stop Ankara.

The council specifically called on the Arab League to hold an emergency session to discuss and condemn Turkey.

The Council praised Libya’s neighbors Tunisia, Egypt and Algeria, for their firm stance against any external interference in Libya.
