Stranded Residents Return To Ajdabiya

Ajdabiya’s Security Directorate announced on Tuesday, the arrival of two groups of residents that were stranded in Egypt. They were received at the city’s port by the Supreme Committee to Combat Coronavirus, on the orders of the head of the Joint Security Chamber of Ajdabiya, Colonel Wanis Al-Shukry.

Police vehicles, ambulances, as well as passenger and luggage buses belonging to the Security Directorate, were sent to the port for the returning residents. The Directorate requested that the returnees adhere to, and comply with the medical committee’s instructions throughout the quarantine period.

The second group, which comprised of 51 families that were provided with housing, adding that the Directorate will continue iys efforts to secure the return of stranded residents.

Preparations for the stranded residents began on the 2nd of May, and residents of the city and the municipalities of Al-Baydan, and Al-Zwaitina were asked to communicate with its public relations department, to secure their medical examinations.

In April, the Directorate announced that the ‘Amal Libya’ hotel would be used to accommodate the returning residents, who would need to undergo a compulsory two week quarantine.
