The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said that 120 Syrian fighters had arrived from Afrin, in Syria, to training camps in southern Turkey.

In a statement on Monday, the Observatory said that the total number of foreign fighters in Libya has reached 8,950, including non-Syrians.

A further 3,420 fighters are currently undergoing training in Turkey before their deployment to Libya.

The SOHR also pointed out that among these fighters there are about 150 child soldiers between the ages of 16 and 18.

The majority of these child soldiers were recruited by the ‘Sultan Murad’ militia, who exploited their personal hardships to get them to enlist.
