On Monday, the ‘Supreme Committee for Coronavirus’ in Misrata announced that the latest batch of 90 suspected samples had all tested negative for COVID-19.

In a statement, the Committee said that the samples tested included those who had returned from abroad on May 5, in addition to staff at Misrata International Airport.

On May 3, the Libyan Ministry of Communications for the Government of National Accord (GNA) confirmed that repatriation flights would be redirected to Misrata International Airport, instead of Tripoli’s Mitiga Airport.

On Monday, Libya’s National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced that no new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country.

The total number of Coronavirus cases in Libya remains at 65, with 33 active cases under medical observation, 35 successful recoveries, and 3 deaths.
