Libyan MP And French Ambassador Reject Foreign Interference In Libya

The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the House of Representatives (HoR), Yusef Al-Agouri, received a phone call from the French Ambassador to Libya, Beatrice de Helene. The two discussed the latest developments in Libya, and the peace initiative presented by the Parliament.

Al-Agouri stressed the need to urgently find a clear political solution to the current crisis, and restore security and stability to preserve the unity of the country. He stressed the Libyan HoR’s rejection of foreign interference in the country, as well as the need to stand firm against it. Al-Agouri also reiterated the strong relations between Libya and France.

The French ambassador stressed the legitimacy of the House of Representatives, as well as her country’s support for efforts to restore peace and stability in Libya.
