200 International Companies Gather at Libya Food Expo

The Libya Food Expo, now in its fifth year, has officially opened in Tripoli, showcasing the rich diversity of the global food industry. The event, is being held from 28-31 January at the Tripoli International Fairgrounds, and launched by the Minister of Economy, Mohamed Al-Hwaij. The event stands as a testament to Libya’s resilience, and its potential as a burgeoning hub for the global food industry.

The Expo has successfully drawn an impressive array of participants, with 100 local companies, and 115 international entities from diverse regions including the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. Nations such as Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey, India, the UAE, Italy, Morocco, Malta, France, and Jordan are represented, highlighting the global interest in Libya’s market. The expo features a wide range of products, from the latest in food processing and packaging technologies, to essentials for restaurant and café operations, underlining the comprehensive nature of this industry gathering.

This event is more than just an exhibition; it is a platform for dialogue, exchange, and the forging of new business relationships. For local companies, it’s an invaluable opportunity to connect with international peers, and explore new technologies and trends.
