On Tuesday, Tunisian Foreign Minister Nourredine Erray reiterated his country’s categorical rejection of any foreign interference in Libya.

These remarks came during his meeting with the US Ambassador to Tunisia, Donald
Bloom, and US Ambassador to Libya Richard Norland.

The talks touched on the recent developments in Libya and efforts made to push towards a comprehensive political settlement to the ongoing crisis.

During the meeting, they also exchanged views regarding efforts to reach a comprehensive ceasefire, in addition to resuming the political process under the auspices of the United Nations.

Erray emphasized the deep historical ties between the Tunisian and Libyan people. He
noted that they are working on achieving stability and security in Libya.

He announced Tunisia’s continued support for UN efforts in reaching a political settlement.

Finally, he recalled the importance of neighboring countries supporting the political and constitutional course in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions.

This is so that Libya and its neighbors can devote themselves to promoting the development process in the North African country.
