Osama Hammad, the Prime Minister appointed by the Libyan House of Representatives, has announced significant improvements and positive changes in the health sector, as well as in reconstruction and development.

During an extensive meeting at the headquarters of the Medical Supply and Therapeutic Services Agency in Benghazi with Belqasim Haftar, General Director of the Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund, Hammad highlighted the substantial progress achieved in a short period, surpassing what had been accomplished by previous administrations over the years.

Hammad emphasized that since his government took office, it has committed to providing all necessary services and meeting the essential needs of citizens across various sectors, particularly in health and medical services. This includes restructuring and redefining the roles and responsibilities of the Medical Supply Agency and reorganizing its management recently.

He pointed out that the positive changes in the health sector and in reconstruction and development efforts, in general, are the government’s primary objectives. These are being pursued through executive tools such as the Development and Reconstruction Fund of Libya and the Medical Supply Agency, among other executive bodies.

Hammad reiterated that significant achievements have been made in a short period, with the support and participation of the General Command, and with financial backing and oversight from the government leadership.

He stated that the government, through effective executive tools, is steadily moving towards change, development, reconstruction, and growth in all sectors. He also announced the upcoming inauguration of a specialized cancer center, equipped with the highest level of technical and medical resources, thanks to the efforts of the Medical Supply Agency.
