Algerian Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum and his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian discussed on Thursday the developments of the Libyan crisis and its impact on the region.
The discussion came on the sidelines of the sixth session of the Algerian-French Joint Committee for Economic Cooperation (COMEFA).
Algeria’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that the two diplomats exchanged views on regional issues, especially Libya, in addition to other issues of common concern, along with the international public health emergency caused by the outbreak of COVID-19 in the African continent and the world.
Earlier, the African Union contact group announced that the National Conference of the Libyan Parties will be held in July 2020 with Algeria as the host.
