The Ministry of Interior of the eastern-based Interim Government announced on Saturday that all travelers coming to Libya from abroad must self-quarantine for two weeks effective immediately.

The Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Health previously announced that Libya is presently free of cases infected with the COVID-19 virus (otherwise known as Coronavirus).

On Saturday morning, the Minister of Health declared a state of emergency in all hospitals to prepare the medical sector in anticipation of a public health emergency.
