On Saturday, Libyan Prime Minister of the Parliament-designated government Libya Osama Hammad affirmed that Libya has entered a transformative phase of stability and development.

Speaking at the opening of the International Exhibition for Traffic Safety and Security Equipment in Benghazi, Hammad credited the country’s progress to the concerted efforts of the armed forces, security institutions, and judicial cooperation.

Hammad described this achievement as a critical milestone, emphasizing that Libya is moving beyond simply establishing security to enhancing its sustainability and effectiveness. He noted that cities across the nation are now significantly safer, creating an environment conducive to addressing broader developmental goals.

The Prime Minister stressed the urgent need to improve traffic safety as part of Libya’s vision for modernization.

He called for public education on road hazards, stricter enforcement of traffic laws, and investments in advanced infrastructure, such as traffic signals, regulatory signage, and high-quality lighting. Hammad also highlighted the importance of integrating modern technologies, including automatic braking systems and traffic monitoring cameras, to ensure public safety.

The event brought together over 25 local and international companies showcasing cutting-edge technologies in traffic safety and security equipment.

The Premier toured the exhibition and commended participants for their contributions, underscoring the significance of international collaboration in Libya’s efforts to adopt global standards for safety and infrastructure.

This moment marks a turning point for Libya, which has emerged from years of conflict to a new phase of stability and progress.

He also attributed this transition to the hard work and coordination of the country’s security forces and judicial bodies, which have succeeded in creating a safe environment for citizens. He described the achievement as more than just a return to normalcy—it is a foundation for sustainable growth and prosperity.
