The National Oil Corporation (NOC) of Libya took part on Wednesday in the Libya–France Energy Forum held in Paris, organised by Business France. The event brought together NOC’s technical departments, chairmen of operating companies, and a number of specialised French firms.
During the forum, the NOC presented its strategic vision to boost oil and gas production, expand renewable energy projects, and advance petrochemical industries. The strategy also emphasises reducing emissions, promoting sustainable development, and building national capacities. The NOC underlined the importance of international partnerships in transferring technology and embedding expertise within Libya.
Extensive technical meetings were held on the sidelines of the forum between NOC departments and operating companies on one side, and French companies on the other. These sessions explored opportunities for cooperation in future projects covering development, maintenance, and specialised technical services. The discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and creating new investment opportunities to serve Libya’s national interest.
The NOC reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining and expanding cooperation with international partners. By opening new channels of collaboration, the corporation aims to enhance Libya’s oil and gas sector, strengthen its infrastructure, and contribute to supporting the national economy.
The Paris forum marks another step in Libya’s efforts to diversify its energy partnerships, modernise its industry, and position itself as a reliable player in the global energy market. The NOC continues to stress that foreign cooperation and knowledge transfer are essential in overcoming challenges and ensuring a sustainable energy future for the country.
