A powerful sandstorm has swept through the Al-Marhan area in the city of Zintan, covering large parts of the Western Mountains in dense dust clouds and significantly reducing visibility.

According to the National Meteorological Center, the conditions are the result of active hot southern winds carrying dust, affecting western regions today and expected to extend to eastern areas starting tomorrow.

The weather authority said the country is likely to experience noticeable changes toward the end of the week, with a marked drop in temperatures across most regions.

Forecasts also indicate increasing cloud cover over northern areas, with a chance of scattered rainfall in the coming days.

The sandstorm has raised concerns over road safety and air quality, particularly in mountainous areas where visibility remains severely limited.
