The General Command of the Libyan National Army (LNA), confirmed that it stood with the right for people to protest peacefully and issued a statement therein.
The LNA urged protesters to hold the demonstrations in broad daylight, so that they are well secured, according to the statement. It called on the demonstrators not to allow extremists to exploit the demonstrations, through the destruction and theft of private and public property. It also demanded protesters to pay attention to infiltrations by takfiri groups, who wish to attack security and government agencies in order to spread chaos. The statement saluted the youth who reject the sabotage and the exploitation of demonstrations.
The statement called on the international community to take strict measures against criminal and takfiri’s militias, as well as the mercenaries who corrupt, plunder, and squander the state’s wealth.
