Libyan Interim Government PM Discusses Needs of Eastern Municipalities

The Prime Minister of Libya’s Interim Government, Abdullah Al-Thinni, discussed the needs of the municipalities of Al-Marj, Sahel, and Jardis Al-Obaid, on Tuesday.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Local Government, Dr. Adel al-Zaidi, the Chairman of the Steering Council of Al-Marj, Walid Salhoub, the Chairman of the Steering Council of Sahel, Yunus Abdel-Shafia, and the Chairman of the Steering Council of Jardis Al-Obaid, Al-Mahdi Al-Obaidi, according to the government’s media office.

The meeting discussed the urgent needs of the municipalities, as well as the completion rates of a number of projects.

Al-Thinni stressed the need for coordination between these municipalities, as they have overlapping borders. He emphasized that greater cooperation was needed, in order to deliver services to residents.
