Will the Libyan Parliament Move to Sirte?

The municipality of Sirte witnessed the signing ceremony for the handover of a number of government administrative headquarters to the Libyan Parliament.

The municipality’s management council stated that the delivered administrative headquarters are numbered 100, 411, 413, and 414, according to the municipality’s statement.

The ceremony was attended by the head of the municipality’s steering council, Salem Amer, the official spokesperson of the Parliament, Abdullah Belhaq, member of the steering council of the municipality of Sirte, Abdel-Ali Hiblo, the director of the Ouagadougou Conference Halls Complex, as well as a number of department managers of the General Company for Administrative Centres Services.

The Steering Council previously issued Resolution No. 44 of 2020 regarding the formation of a committee from the General Company for Administrative Centres Services. This is to undertake the inventory of government administrative headquarters in the government complex of Sirte.
