The Health Minister for Libya’s eastern-based Interim Government, Saad Agoub, urged the directors of health services departments in municipalities to activate medical clinics and health centers to reduce overcrowding in hospitals.

Agoub said that activating health centers and clinics will provide more medical services for Libyans and will ensure that hospitals can continue following social distancing measures while they continue to operate under these stressful circumstances.

The Minister stressed the need for medical clinics and health centers to follow the precautionary measures taken by the government to combat the Covid-19 virus through sterilization and disinfection in order to raise the level of the health sector and improve it to meet future challenges.
