Libya’s Minister of Health in the Government of National Unity (GNU), Ali Al-Zanati, received the Greek Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs in charge of Economic Cooperation, Kostas Francoiannis, to discuss bilateral cooperation.

“The meeting discussed several topics, the most important of which is the cooperation between the two sides in developing the health sector and exchanging medical expertise, especially in delicate fields,” the statement added.

Greece is seeking to cooperate with Libya in several fields, with Francoiannis signing a memorandum of understanding with Libya in renewable energy on Sunday.

On Friday, Libyan Parliament Speaker Ageela Saleh held a meeting with senior officials in Athens. Saleh commended the positive role played by Greece in working to resolve the Libyan crisis.

Greek Foreign Minister, Nikos Dendias said they would do everything to help expel the mercenaries and foreign fighters from Libya.
