Al-Ahly Tripoli and Al-Nasr have secured their spots in the semifinals of the Libyan Basketball Cup after dominating performances in their respective matches. Al-Ahly Tripoli took the lead in the western region by defeating Al-Shabab Al-Arabi with a convincing score of 74-48, while Al-Nasr topped the eastern region after triumphing over Al-Marj with a score of 104-56 at Al-Hilal Club Hall.

As leaders of the western qualifiers, Al-Ahly Tripoli is set to face the second-ranked team from the eastern region, Al-Marj, in an anticipated matchup at the Grand Hall in Tripoli at the beginning of July. Meanwhile, Al-Nasr is slated to compete against Al-Shabab Al-Arabi at the Suleiman Al-Dharrat Complex in early July.

The winners of these semifinal rounds will clash in the final of the Libyan Basketball Cup, scheduled to take place in July at the Suleiman Al-Dharrat Complex in Benghazi.

In football news, the Libyan Football Federation is gearing up for the 17th matchday of the return leg of the Premier League for Group One, set for this coming Sunday. Three matches are scheduled for 16:30 PM, starting with Al-Anwar Al-Sadaqa facing off at Al-Abiar Stadium.

In the second match, Al-Ahly Benghazi will host Al-Suqoor at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium, and Al-Marj will visit Al-Taawun at the Ajdabiya Stadium.

The 17th round will conclude on Monday with two more matches. The first will see Al-Akhdar go up against Al-Tahaddi at Al-Bayda Stadium, followed by a local derby between Al-Nasr and Al-Hilal at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium.
