On Thursday, Oya Airlines announced the resumption of its flights to Istanbul, Turkey, with three weekly flights. The new schedule, effective today, includes flights on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
This development follows a hiatus of several months in Oya Airlines’ service to the Turkish city. The airline had halted its Istanbul routes in late 2023 due to operational reasons.
Expressing his satisfaction with the resumption, Deputy General Manager Ezzeddine Al-Halouj stated, “We are delighted to restart our flights to Istanbul. Our goal is to reclaim our position in the Turkish market.”
Oya Airlines, a prominent regional carrier, connects numerous Arab and international cities. This latest move is part of the airline’s broader strategy to enhance its network and service offerings.
Oya Airlines has been a significant player in the regional aviation industry, known for its reliable service and extensive network. The airline operates flights to various destinations across the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe. Its reputation for safety and customer service has made it a preferred choice for travelers in the region.
The restart of Oya Airlines’ Istanbul route is expected to boost tourism and business travel between the two countries. This move aligns with the broader trend of recovery in the aviation industry following the global disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Airlines worldwide are gradually restoring routes and increasing flight frequencies to meet the revived travel demand.
The airline plans to introduce more international routes and enhance its services to compete with other regional carriers. The management’s vision includes leveraging strategic partnerships and adopting advanced technologies to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
With the resumption of the Istanbul flights, Oya Airlines is poised to reinforce its market position and contribute to the growth of Libya’s aviation sector. The company’s commitment to excellence and strategic expansion plans indicate a promising future for the airline and its passengers.
