Libya Hosts 1st International Conference on Technical Sciences

On Monday, Libya’s Parliament-designate Minister of Technical and Vocational Education, Dr. Faraj Khalil Salem, inaugurated the First International Conference on Technical Sciences.

Organised by the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Sabha, this event is one of the country’s leading specialised scientific gatherings.

The ministry stated that the conference aims to enhance cooperation between technical educational sectors and industry, supporting innovation and advanced research in fields like engineering technology and renewable energy.

In his opening remarks, Minister Salem highlighted the importance of such conferences in bolstering the national economy.

He emphasised the need to develop infrastructure for technical scientific research and to encourage investment in sustainable energy and advanced engineering.

He also urged participants to propose practical solutions addressing contemporary environmental and technical challenges, strengthening Libya’s standing in technology and engineering sectors.
