In an official statement, the embassy said it had closely monitored circulating claims suggesting that Libyans are now required to obtain prior security approval or provide a local sponsor before being allowed entry. According to the embassy, no such measures have been introduced. Libyan citizens can continue to travel to Syria without the need for advance security clearance or sponsorship. Officials confirmed that the existing system remains in place, allowing Libyan travelers to obtain entry visas upon arrival at border crossings, in accordance with previously established procedures.
