The lawyer representing Saif al-Islam Gaddafi has said that no significant progress has been made in the investigation into the killing of the former presidential candidate, more than three months after the incident.

Defense team head Khaled Al-Zaidi stated that despite the passage of over 90 days, authorities have yet to reach concrete conclusions or present clear results. He confirmed that the legal team has begun expanding its efforts internationally in an attempt to gather evidence and document the case according to international legal standards.

Al-Zaidi explained that the defense is working to collect and verify information through recognized legal channels, aiming to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the incident and ensure accountability. He stressed that the team is committed to pursuing justice through all available legal means, including cooperation with international entities if necessary.

Earlier, the Office of the Attorney General announced that arrest warrants had been issued for three suspects linked to the case. Authorities said the individuals had been identified, along with the vehicles allegedly used during the attack, which reportedly took place in the city of Zintan.

According to official statements, the suspects are believed to have tracked the victim at his residence before carrying out the assault. Investigators said the attackers stormed the location and opened fire using automatic weapons, leading to his immediate death.

The lack of progress in the case has raised concerns among observers about delays in investigations involving high-profile incidents.
