Libya’s Foreign Minister in the parliament-appointed government, Abdel-Hadi Al-Hwaij, praised the role of the Libyan National Army (LNA) in restoring stability and supporting reconstruction efforts in Sirte during an official visit to the city.

Al-Hwaij expressed admiration for the scale of development and infrastructure projects currently underway, describing Sirte as a city undergoing major transformation after years of instability and conflict. He said the reconstruction campaign reflects broader efforts aimed at reviving key Libyan cities and improving public services and living conditions.

The foreign minister highlighted the strategic and symbolic importance of Sirte, calling it a city capable of becoming a center of reconstruction, reconciliation, and national unity. He also referred to the historic Battle of Al-Qardabiya, describing it as a reminder of moments when Libyans stood united during critical periods in the country’s history.

During the visit, Al-Hwaij praised the institutions, engineers, workers, and local authorities contributing to the city’s development.

He gave particular recognition to the armed forces for their role in establishing security and maintaining stability, emphasizing that reconstruction efforts would not be possible without a stable environment.
