Libyan Parliament Speaker Promises Teachers Salary Increase

The Libyan Teachers’ Syndicate reported that its Head, Abdel-Nabi Al-Naf, met with the Speaker of the Libyan Parliament, Ageela Saleh, on Tuesday.

According to a statement issued by the syndicate, the meeting discussed the implementation of Law No. 4. This is concerned with the approval of a salary increase for teachers, and education sector workers.

The statement confirmed that Saleh promised that the increase will be implemented as soon as possible. A decision was also taken to postpone schooling until mid-December, provided that the health situation improves.
