On Sunday, Libya’s New Supreme Judicial Council directed the suspension of work in court trials, public prosecutions and other judicial bodies from Monday March the 30th until the end of April due to the outbreak of coronavirus.

This decision came as part of the precautionary measures taken by the Interim Government to prevent a COVID-19 (otherwise known as coronavirus) outbreak.

On Saturday, March 28, the Libyan National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported that two more patients had been diagnosed with Covid-19. The NCDC said that the new cases bring the total number of Covid-19 cases in Libya to 3.
