On Monday, Head of Libya’s Presidential Council Mohamed Al-Mnifi affirmed the commitment of the new executive authority to the Geneva outcomes. He confirmed supporting a comprehensive national reconciliation process and building a solid foundation for this reconciliation.

This came during his meeting in Tripoli with the Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Jan Kubis.

During the meeting, Kubis reiterated UNSMIL’s support for the stability of Libya, and the political solution reached during the Geneva dialogues to hold elections on 24 December

The two stressed the need to unify all government institutions and support the UN tracks in following up the work of the 5+5 Joint Military Committee (JMC).
