North Korea Discuss Fostering Healthcare Cooperation with Libya

On Tuesday, the Minister of Health of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Ali Al-Zanati held talks with the North Korean Ambassador to Libya, Ju Jin-hyuk to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in the healthcare sector.

In a statement, the minister stressed the depth of relations, and his hope to open the door for further medical cooperation between the two countries, especially with regards to providing logistical support.

The Ambassador confirmed that Pyongyang has a long history of healthcare cooperation with Libya, and will seek to reactivate this work as soon as possible. During the meeting, they also discussed the return of Korean medical personnel to Libya, in order to help the ailing healthcare sector.
