Libyan Foreign Ministry: Libya to Send Medical Personnel to Italy

On Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government for National Accord (GNA) announced it would send 30 physicians to assist Italy in confronting the Covid-19 pandemic.

Italian Foreign Minister Luigi di Maio has expressed his gratitude to his Libyan counterpart, Foreign Minister Mohamed Siala, for the GNA’s solidarity.

Siala expressed the Libyan government’s support for Italy during these challenging times struggle and stressed his confidence in Italy’s ability to overcome the pandemic.

The two parties also discussed efforts to combat the spread of the Covid-19.

The initiative is in coordination with the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC).
