The Libyan Embassy to the United Kingdom announced on Saturday that the number of Libyans who have contracted the Coronavirus has reached 50 cases.

According to a statement issued by the Embassy, among the Libyans infected with the virus there were seven critical cases.

Two days ago, the Embassy had announced the death of two Libyan nationals infected with COVID-19.

Libya’s National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) announced on Friday, April 10, that its lab at the Al-Kuwaifiya Hospital has confirmed three new cases of COVID-19. This is after 106 suspected samples were examined by the laboratory.

The city of Benghazi has also recorded three new cases, raising the total number of positive cases in the country to 27.
