Libyan Embassy in Cairo Registers Citizens for COVID-19 Quarantine

The Libyan Embassy in Cairo has stated that the names of stranded citizens would be published soon and urged those wishing to return to Libya to contact an Embassy official or register on the Embassy’s website: http://egypt-libyanembassy.com.ly/corona.

This comes after the Government of National Accord (GNA) announced mandatory quarantine centers to be set up in Tunisia, Egypt and Turkey for Libyan nationals wishing to return home.

Libyans will first need to sign a written acknowledgment of the quarantine measures set up by the GNA and agree to undergo PCR and CT scans before and after being placed in quarantine.

Libyan Embassies abroad have been allocated funds to provide accommodation and assistance to Libyan nationals until they are able to return to Libya.
