Greece Requests NATO To Deter Turkish Violations In Libya

The Head of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDS), General Konstantinos Floros, warned of the consequences of the continuous Turkish provocation in the Aegean Sea and its violation of the arms embargo on Libya.

In an online conference with NATO officials, Floros noted that the recent escalation of the migrant crisis in the Mediterranean sea was due to Ankara attempting to pressure Europe. He claimed that continued violations of Greek airspace risked a military reaction from Greece.

Floros called on NATO to deter further Turkish breaches in Greece, as well as bringing an end to the supply of foreign fighters and violations of the UN arms embargo on Libya.
