Tunisia’s Prime Minister, Elyes Fakhfakh, said that his country rejected any foreign interference in Libya, stressing that Tunisia was against any military action in the North African country.
In a statement, the Tunisian premier said that a solution “can only be among Libyans and expresses the will of the Libyan people alone, who are sovereign and must decide their fate themselves, free from all foreign interference.”
Since the ouster of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011, two seats of power have emerged in Libya: the eastern-based Interim Government that supports Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar’s Libyan National Army, and the UN recognised Government of National Accord in Tripoli that supports a loose coalition of armed groups.
