On Thursday, the Prime Minister of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al-Sarraj, dismissed Ali Abdulaziz Issawi from his position as Minister of Economy and Industry.

Al-Sarraj also issued a formal decision to appoint the Finance Minister, Faraj Boumtari, as the new Minister of Economy and Industry, succeeding Issawi.

According to informed sources, the reason for Issawi’s dismissal comes as a result of his failure to issue a business registration to the Chairman of the Libyan Post, Communications and Information Technology Holding Company, Faisal Qurqab.
