SOHR Says International Community Conspiring Against Libya

Speaking to ‘Libya Al-Hadath’ television channel on Wednesday, the Director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) Rami Abdel-Rahman said the position of the international community towards Libya was extremely problematic.

“The international community conspires against Libya now, as it did against Syria, which contributed to its destruction,” he said.

He pointed out that some European nations did not condemn the intervention in Libya because they feared Turkey would manipulate the risk of a new wave of refugees sent to Europe.

The Observatory said that the number of Turkish backed Syrian fighters killed in Libya has exceeded 400, including 27 child soldiers.

A myriad of foreign fighters, including members of IS and other extremist groups, are being transported to the war in Libya, according to SOHR.

Abdel-Rahman claimed that the Turkish government would begin sending fighters to the Islah Party in Yemen to further its political agenda in the region.
