On Monday, the Prime Minister of Libya’s Interim Government, Abdullah Al-Thinni, issued a decision to pull government contracts that were signed with Turkish companies for the implementation of various projects in Libya.

These remarks came during the Prime Minister’s meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdul-Hadi Al-Huwaij.

They discussed all legal measures required to end these Turkish contracts. Al-Thinni noted that these projects, valued at billions of dollars, came to a halt following the 2011 civil war.

Al-Thinni stressed the need to terminate all contracts signed with Turkish companies in accordance with the law. He added that the termination of contracts is due to Turkey’s hostile actions against the Libyan people and the Libyan National Army.

The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of promoting the process of reconstruction in Libya.

This must be in a way that reshapes all cities and regions that have been destroyed.

Al-Thinni directed Al-Huwaij to immediately begin contacting all international companies to resume their work.
