The ninth edition of Libya’s Agricultural Expo commenced on Wednesday in the municipality of Wadi Al-Bawanis, featuring over 120 local and international exhibitors.

During the opening ceremony, the Mayor of Wadi Al-Bawanis highlighted the municipality’s abundant natural resources, including water, fertile soil, favourable climate, and vast unoccupied land spanning over 250,000 hectares.

He called on investors and stakeholders to consider investing in these resources through scientific studies and in coordination with the agriculture sector, the Public Property Authority, and the Investment Department within the municipality.

The mayor also reaffirmed the local council’s support for the Libya Agricultural Expo and all initiatives related to agriculture and livestock.

The expo, held at the Tamanhint Exhibition Centre, showcases a wide variety of agricultural products, machinery, dates, olives, and handicrafts. The event will run until 29 September.
