Moscow is determined to communicate with all parties in Libya to stop the ongoing conflict, a Russian Foreign Ministry statement said on Thursday.

Moscow called for an end to the armed operations in Libya and the rebuilding of state institutions, including the security services.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry indicated that it would discuss solutions to halt the nine-year civil war in Libya. This would be during the UN’s 75th General Assembly session in September.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed the need for an immediate cessation of hostilities. He emphasized the need to maintain the commitment to the implementation of Security Council resolutions in this regards.
