On Monday, Libyan Parliament Speaker Ageela Saleh, alongside Prime Minister Osama Hammad, held a high-level meeting to review the progress of several major development and infrastructure projects in Al-Qubbah, in eastern Libya.

The session also included Belqassim Haftar, the General Director of the Libya Reconstruction and Development Fund, and Abdulhamid Al-Safi, advisor to the Parliament Speaker.

The meeting followed an inspection tour conducted by Hammad, Haftar, and Al-Safi to monitor the pace of ongoing urban and public service projects in the area.

The update highlighted work underway on a major bridge construction project in Al-Qubbah, considered one of the city’s most vital infrastructure undertakings.

Other key works include the renovation of public housing buildings, school maintenance, and various urban upgrades designed to strengthen basic services.

These efforts are part of a broader strategy led by the Reconstruction Fund and backed by the Parliament-designated government to accelerate development and improve living conditions in eastern Libya—particularly in historically underfunded towns such as Al-Qubbah.

The projects reflect a growing focus among eastern authorities on stabilizing public life through visible and essential improvements.

Roads, schools, and housing infrastructure are central to efforts aimed at rebuilding trust in institutions and delivering real services to local communities.
