Maiteeq Discusses Sirte and Al-Jufra with the Italian Ambassador

On Thursday, Member of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Ahmed Maiteeq, met with the Italian Ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Buccino. The two discussed the latest developments in the conflict, as well as the situation in Sirte and Al-Jufra.

The meeting dealt with possible mechanisms for a political solution, as well as the possibility of positive contributions by the Italian government for a solution.

Both sides also discussed bilateral relations, and ways to further develop them, in the common interest of the two countries.
