Interim Government PM Discusses Security Situation with Interior Minister

The Prime Minister of the eastern-based Interim Government, Abdullah Al-Thinni, held a meeting on Thursday with the Interior Minister of Libya’s Interim Government, Ibrahim Bushnaf.

Al-Thinni was briefed during the meeting on the security situation in various parts of the country, especially in Sirte and Al-Jufrah. He highlighted the need to secure those cities optimally and to ensure that no breaches occur.

During the meeting, the PM appreciated the role of the Police Authority. He emphasized the need for the police to continue with discipline, and fulfil their duty to secure and respect the homeland as well as the citizens.

Since August 23rd, Tripoli and many cities have been witnessing protests denouncing deteriorating living conditions and corruption.
