The Turkish Home Products Exhibition in Benghazi concluded on Thursday evening with strong praise from participants and visitors, following three days of intensive commercial activity and direct business engagement.

Held at the Benghazi Fairgrounds, the exhibition brought together more than 40 Turkish manufacturers specialising in homeware, furniture, textiles, furnishings, and electrical appliances. The event drew significant interest from Libyan traders, companies, and business leaders, who expressed strong satisfaction with the quality of products and the level of participation.

The presence of Abdelhamid Al-Zawawi, Chairman of Emmar Libya Exhibitions Company, along with several officials and economic-sector stakeholders, strengthened direct communication between Turkish company representatives and Libyan traders from various cities.

Speaking to the Libyan News Agency (LANA), Fouad Al-Awam, Director-General of the Exhibitions and Conferences Department at the General Authority for Exhibitions, said the event successfully opened a new market for Turkish products in Benghazi. He noted that the large-scale participation of Turkish manufacturers gave Libyan traders a real opportunity to secure direct commercial agencies from exhibiting companies.

Al-Awam added that the exhibition revealed a clear interest from several Turkish companies to open branches inside Libya, grant commercial agencies to local traders, and potentially establish manufacturing facilities and production lines in the future. He stressed that such participation strengthens economic partnerships and supports trade relations between Libya and Turkey.

Hind Al-Farjani, representing the Benghazi Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture—one of the exhibition’s supporting entities—said the Chamber places great importance on organising domestic and international exhibitions in coordination with the General Union of Chambers. She emphasised the Chamber’s commitment to supporting major and small-scale economic events, encouraging its members in the business community to attend regional and international trade activities, and organising economic seminars that foster cooperation between Libyan business leaders and partners abroad.

A correspondent from the Libyan News Agency reported observing intense commercial activity, with direct product demonstrations, business meetings, and negotiations connecting exhibitors with Libyan investors and traders throughout the event.
