Turkey’s Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler has said that Ankara continues to engage in dialogue with all Libyan parties as part of its efforts to support the country’s unification and long-term stability.

Speaking in remarks reported by the media on Saturday, Güler said the Turkish Armed Forces remain active in Libya through military training, support, cooperation, and advisory roles. He stressed that these activities are carried out within a broader political vision aimed at helping Libya overcome years of division and conflict.

Güler stated that Turkey’s objective is the establishment of a unified Libyan state that preserves its territorial integrity, achieves political cohesion, and provides an environment of peace, security, and stability for its citizens. He added that Ankara views stability in Libya as a key factor for regional security in the Mediterranean and North Africa.

According to the Turkish defence minister, there has been tangible progress toward Libya’s unification in recent periods. He attributed this progress to sustained dialogue and diplomatic engagement led by Turkey with all Libyan stakeholders, under a policy guided by what he described as clear and consistent principles.

Güler also underlined that Turkey’s approach is based on cooperation rather than confrontation, noting that continued communication with all parties remains essential for advancing political reconciliation and building unified national institutions. He reiterated Ankara’s readiness to continue supporting initiatives that contribute to a lasting political settlement and a stable security environment in Libya.
