Talal Al-Mihoub, the Head of the Defence and National Security Committee of the Libyan Parliament stated that the Government of National Accord (GNA) violated the provisions of the Geneva Accord by signing a security agreement with Qatar.

In press statements, Al-Mihoub expressed his strong condemnation of the High Council of State’s (HCS) rejection of the ceasefire. He stressed that this came upon instructions from Qatar, and Turkey.

Al-Mihoub called on the United Nations to exclude the head of the HCS, Khalid Al-Mishri, from attending the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) sessions in Tunisia. He accused Al-Mishri of being a leader of the Muslim Brotherhood organisation.

He stressed that the Libyan Parliament has placed the Muslim Brotherhood on its national terrorist list.
