On Sunday, Tripoli’s Maetiga International Airport announced a set of obligatory measures for passengers due to travel to Tunisia.

Prior to departing from Tripoli, all passengers are required to complete their personal details on an online form. The website’s link is htttps://app.e7mi.tu.

All travellers must be placed in self-isolation for 14 days. This would take place in either their chosen accommodation, or in specialized quarantine centres in Tunisia. If travellers are unable to complete the 14-day quarantine period, they will be obliged to self-isolate for at least 7 days. They will also need to undergo a RT-PCR test, on the seventh day. If their results are negative, they will be allowed to end their quarantine.

The airport called on all COVID-19 precautionary measures to be observed, including social distancing, wearing face masks, and using hands sanitizers regularly.

It also warned that the failure to abide by the 14-day quarantine will be punishable by law as violators will be subjected to six-month imprisonment, and a fine of 120 dinars.
