Libya’s Former Foreign Minister of the eatern-based Interim Government, Abdel-Hadi Al-Hwaij called for reunification efforts to be implemented, and the holding of the December elections as planned. He also stressed the need for a comprehensive reconciliation that is “not based on domination, exclusion and marginalization.”

A handover ceremony took place on Tuesday, between a number of ministries of the Interim Government and the Government of National Unity (GNU), including the Ministries of Finance, Water, Higher Education, Public Education, Housing, Construction, Sports and Foreign Affairs.

Al-Hwaij explained that the Libyan government has managed to accomplish huge works despite a lack of finances. He noted that it has “completed about 3,001 projects in various departments, such as roads, sanitation, water, and training.”

Notably, the GNU ministers arrived on Tuesday at Benghazi’s Benina airport to complete the handover process with the interim government. The government delegation was headed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Hussein Al-Qatrani and was received by a number of Benghazi officials.
