Aisha Matoq, head of the Beit Al-Aseel Association stated that a number of paintings were chosen to participate in a festival organised by the Association of Arab Artists in Finland. Matoq added that the association selected paintings that express Libya’s southern heritage.

The Association of Arab Artists in Finland is an officially registered association, and aims to help organise shows for artists and introduce Arab culture to Finnish society. It includes all types of art, such as singing, music, painting, theater, cinema, sculpture, poetry, and writing.

Support will be provided by the Helsinki Municipality, the Finnish Ministry of Culture, and several charities.
