Libya’s Embassy in Tunisia Begins Quarantine Period For 4,500 Nationals

On Tuesday, the Press Attaché of the Libyan Embassy in Tunisia, Jamal Al-Kafali, said that the number of stranded Libyans in Tunisia has reached nearly 4,500 citizens.

In a statement, Al-Kafali said that the embassy has provided accommodation for its citizens in hotels, and began a 14 day quarantine period for them.

He pointed out that the embassy will carry out COVID-19 medical tests prior to entering the quarantine, and once again after the end of the 14 days, adding that if the results were negative, they would be repatriated.

Those with positive results would be sent to hospitals, or for further quarantining specialized for COVID-19 patients. Al-Kafali indicated that the consulate would provide a delegate to every hotel to follow up on their conditions and provide them with all essential services.
